Guided Implant Surgery

What is Guided Implant Surgery?

Guided implant surgery involves using a computer to plan dental implant surgery. The patient’s CT image is used to perform a successful implant surgery. For execution, the specialist will be able to carry out the surgery as digitally planned—requiring a surgical template and implant surgery kit. It’s our priority to make sure that you are receiving the top dental care that is safe and efficient!

Benefits of Guided Implant Surgery

There are many benefits that you can get from receiving guided implant surgery. They include:

  • More precision than x-ray-oriented surgery
  • Shorter surgery time
  • Reduced pain for patients
  • Visually enhanced smile

What Happens During Guided Implant Surgery?

To begin a computer-guided implant surgery, we will take a CT image of your jaw. In doing so, this takes all of the guess work out of placing dental implants. It helps your specialist to make precise movements, that is safer and more predictable to replace missing teeth.

The computer will create 3-dimensional plastic surgical guides to help the surgeon plan for placement. The surgical guides will be made to fit the patient’s mouth and the actual implants will be placed with ease. Then, the guide will be drilled, and the actual implant placed into the guide mount. The implant will be fastened into place with an anchor pin.
